Kristie started taking Pilates classes in 2003 to get fit and toned for her wedding. It worked! Kristie found Pilates to be a creative flow of movements that felt great for her body. She continued Pilates after moving to Bermuda and enjoyed weekly classes for over seven years. Routine Pilates helped to restore Kristie’s fitness, strength and pelvic floor muscles after two pregnancies. After returning back to Ontario, Kristie studied with renowned Pilates teacher Susan Greskevitch, and became certified with the internationally recognized PhysicalMind Institute. Kristie opened Powered By Pilates in Kingston, Ontario with the goal of helping people improve their fitness and health. Kristie wanted to create a studio that felt inviting, peaceful and modern. In 2012 Kristie completed her STOTT Pilates Reformer certification and is pleased to share the benefits of reformer workouts with the Kingston community.

Jennifer started doing Pilates over ten years ago. She credits the core fundamental work done in Pilates for keeping her pain free from a past back injury as well as giving her a greater sense of body awareness and stability. Combining Jennifer's STOTT Pilates certification with her experience in physical education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching into each class.

Amy received her STOTT Pilates Mat certification in 2004 following a career as a classical ballet dancer and teacher. Since that time she has taken many courses including the STOTT reformer intensive course, injuries and special populations and many other workshops. Most recently she has been certified in the stability barre courses through STOTT and the Balanced Body Barre. Amy also holds a kinesiology degree from York University and a Masters of Physiotherapy from Queen’s. She loves getting into the studio to share her appreciation and knowledge of movement with clients of all ages and fitness levels. Her deep understanding of anatomy and unique level of body awareness allows her to teach with detail and precision, providing participants with an invigorating and creative work out.
